The Set Pick 'Em

Who we are

League Sports and Entertainment LLC ("LEAGUE," "we," "us") operates The Set Pick 'Em at thesetpickem.com. Questions about this policy: info@thisisleague.com.

What we collect

• Account information you give us: name, email address, and password (stored only as a one-way hash, never as plain text). Optionally, your Instagram handle, profile photo, and favorite NFL team.
• Contest activity: your picks, the time you saved them, your records and rankings, badges, and tiebreaker predictions.
• Technical data collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, and basic usage analytics such as pages viewed.
• If you win: payment details you provide (for example a Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal identifier), a mailing address for merchandise, and, when required by law, a completed IRS Form W-9.

How we use it

• To run the Contest: account access, saving and grading picks, leaderboards, and awarding prizes.
• To contact you about the Contest: picks-open reminders, unpicked-games reminders, weekly recaps, and winner notifications. You can turn reminder emails off in your profile. Transactional emails such as password resets and winner verification are always sent.
• To display your display name, Instagram handle, profile photo, picks (after each game locks), and record on the site's leaderboards, and, if you win, on The Set and LEAGUE channels as described in the Official Rules.
• To prevent fraud and duplicate accounts, and to meet tax and legal obligations.

What is public

Your display name, Instagram handle (if provided), profile photo (if provided), favorite team, picks (after each game locks), records, badges, and rankings are visible to other users. Your email address, password, payment details, and mailing address are never public.

Who we share it with

Service providers that host and run the site (Supabase and Netlify for hosting and database, and our email provider for reminders), payment services used to pay prizes, and authorities when required by law. Game data comes from ESPN; we send ESPN nothing about you. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with advertisers. If a sponsor joins the Contest, we may share aggregate, non-identifying statistics such as the number of entrants, but never your personal information without your consent.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and for basic analytics. No advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can edit your name, handle, photo, and favorite team in your profile at any time. You can delete your account by emailing info@thisisleague.com; we will delete your profile and picks within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, prize, or legal purposes. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port their data. Email us to exercise them.

Retention

Account and pick data is kept for the current Season and the following Season for records and disputes, then deleted or anonymized. Winner and tax records are kept for seven years.

Security

Passwords are hashed, data is encrypted in transit, and database access is restricted so users can only read or change their own private data. No system is perfectly secure; contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Children

The Contest is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and will delete it if we learn we have.

Changes

We will post updates here with a new effective date.
